Mathematics is not a simple subject, and few people are talented in this area. Some mathematicians have conducted researches over the course of their career. Michael Lacey I a good example of mathematicians who have accomplished a lot in this field. Learn more about Michael Lacey: https://arxiv.org/a/lacey_m_1.html
Michael Lacey is a renowned mathematician, who has an excellent reputation for his determination in studying probability.
Mr. Lacey was born late in the year 1959. He managed to earn Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in 1981. Michael Lacey was determined to advance his knowledge even further.
He joined the University of Illinois, Urban-Champaign and as a result, under the supervision of Water Philipp, he was able to be awarded a Ph.D. after submitting a thesis that covered the area of probability particularly related to vector analysis.
After Michael Lacey’s graduation, he was able to get the first job at Louisiana State University in Bolton Rouge where he served as an assistant professor. After working for about one year at Louisiana State University, he transferred to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill as an assistant professor. One year later he moved to Indiana University.
Michael Lacey served at Indiana University from 1989 for about seven years, during his time at Indiana University he was able to receive a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. Later Mr. Lacey accepted another job professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Back in 2012, he managed to join the American Mathematical Society.
Michael Lacey started working for Georgia institute back in 1996 as an associate professor. After few years on staff, he was promoted to a full mathematics professor in 2001. Currently, Michael Lacey has specialized in linear algebra. He has also managed to carry out many types of research in the area of his specialization. The Ph.D. students that he trains have managed to go to industry and academic jobs. Michael Lacey has mentored over 100 postdocs. Read more: Michael Lacey | GAtech and Michael Lacey | Wikipedia
In 1997 Lacey was awarded a Salem Prize for research that he had collaborated with Christoph Thiele. Also one year later in 1998, Michael produced an address to the International Congress of Mathematicians in Berlin, Germany. That happens once in four years.
Recently, Michael Lacey has joined Simons Fellow in 2012, as well as American Mathematical Society Fellow in 2013. As an evidence of his achievement, today he has more than 100 research publications.
